At present, the Institute is preparing an edited volume that will include some of cutting edge works of world’s leading scholars, including Professors Jagdish Bhagwati, Beth Lyon, Tom Ginsburg, and Hilary Charlesworth, on the issues of the relevancy of international law in the enterprise of law reform in new democracies. The main impetus of the project is to introduce the Indonesian public on the practical aspects of international law in domestic legal system. The project is intended to serve as the cornerstone of the Institute’s engagement in academic as well as practical dimensions of domestic legal reform. Furthermore, it is hoped to encourage more rigorous investigation among the local community on the significance of the emerging legal tradition as a result of the ever-increasing web of transnational law. In addition, it will also furthering the humanization of law at all levels.
